I think it's a human condition that the more you are interested in something the more you want other people to agree with you (and provide you with confidence that they made the right choice - a nice echo chamber for your decisions).

There are tons of other examples. The church of Crossfit, the perfection of KetoPaleoLowCarb, the self righteousness of the single speed (this one IS correct of course!), the idiocy of anti vaccing.

Once people believe something they want to preach it!

amen, brother

i have a serious question for you vegan okes. one of my hobbies is aquaponics. basically similar to hydroponics, but instead of using  chemicals to fertilise the water you use fish. So the fish waste fertilises the plants and the plants filter the fish water. you end up with fish and veggies in one system. would you eat veggies grown in this manner?

EDIT: i am not trying to catch anybody out or anything, i am genuinely interested. most aquaponic grown veg is marketed as 100% organic and it would be interesting to get your take

To quote Eldron: "Being vegan is like being gay - it's a choice"

Selective quoting is awesome - it's way easier than reading, thinking or understanding!

i guess a lot of this is what a cow drinks in its life. but we have a thing called the water cycle. so the cow pees out the water again. this is evaporated and falls as rain later. its not like the water is destroyed never to be seen again

This is about the only undisputable fact used in this whole fred  :w00t:  :w00t:  :w00t:
