Me rida my bicycle Posted December 4, 2018 Share Had a look but can't find anything on these wheels.Anybody using them and if so what is your impression? Weight looks good for the width and 120kg weight limit is way more than I weigh so should be able to take a beating but the numbers never really tell what it's like. Would appreciate it. BaGearA Posted December 4, 2018 Share Haven't had A set myself but theybhave very good reviews and seem pretty much perfect for the price point they come in at Me rida my bicycle
Grease_Monkey Posted December 4, 2018 Share Very nice wheels from what I have heard from guys using them. Lyne's aftersales service is second to none - I have a few of their products and they have always gone out of their way to help me, so at least you know if something comes up you will have that backup. I know some guys have done Klipberg and Ezel Enduros (VERY) rocky using their rims on hardtails. I think that alone says alot for the quality of the product. richardkzn and Me rida my bicycle
tristansandwith Posted December 4, 2018 Share Hey, I paired up some amp V1s with some maxxis 2.5s my hardtail Enduro bike. They have taken some serious hammering out on the McGregor rocks as well as Table Mountain’s rocky trails and are still running true and strong and feel as solid as the day I first got them! Not that nuts on the trails so should be more than enough.
Chavo Posted December 4, 2018 Share Been riding these wheels for 6 months and had no real issues with them. As mentioned, the after sales support at Lyne is superb so knowing you have that backing is a plus. The down sides to the wheels for me mostly lie in the hubs (think they're similar to Stans 3.30). Found the bearings wear quickly and the freewheel (Shimano) is prone to gouging from the cassette (not limited to these wheels, but it applies). That all being said, I'm not particularly surprised at these factors at the price point so they're not really negatives. Just points to be aware of. V18 Posted December 4, 2018 Share I'd support Lyne without hesitation. Great support from Dayle. doubleDza and Me rida my bicycle
Jackal355 Posted December 6, 2018 Share had the 27.5 amp30's for a while and now on the new 29" pulse 30 and very happy with them. pretty sure i bought the very first set and usually i look for as many reviews as possible before buying something but with these guys i knew i couldn't go wrong.i usually feel flex quite quickly and was a bit worried going to a bigger wheel with less spokes but absolutely no issues. haven't really checked if the hubs differ but it has super fast pick up. also i run a xd driver so cant comment on that issue mentioned above.... Dirt Tracker Posted December 6, 2018 Share For the price and the strength they are a steal. I went with these over the Flows and haven't regretted it. As said the free hub does gouge but the is pretty much most any way. American Classic had a great solution to this but no one else ever really bothered to address it. Also the Rapide wheels that Kiwi build are well worth a look. Nothing but good feedback from them as well and equally good service.

For me, they blur the line nicely between lighter weight and sturdy rim profile. And they perform really well for their weight.
Me rida my bicycle Posted December 6, 2018 Share OK so the set is waiting to be fitted just need to get rotors will slap them on over the weekend went with the v1 as the v2 is overkill but it's still stronger than the pulse 30 without a real weight penalty. Thanks guys for the feedback will report back after 1st ride. tristansandwith

Me rida my bicycle Posted December 8, 2018 Share So tomorrow we will see what's what just glad I didn't go for 2.4 tyres because the rear clearance is not wow.
Me rida my bicycle Posted December 9, 2018 Share First ride in I can still drop the pressure a bit but the wheels are great I almost need to get to know my bike again. With the fatter rim and tyre comfort is just perfect, grip is great only lost the trail ones today but that was the idiot on top. nickelass and Vetplant
