Reasons to keep your eyes open on the tarmac - Antonov 124 parked at the back end of Cairns airport. Excuse the mobile picture taken through the Q400 window.

 

Cairns also has one of the last Shorts Belfasts parked up and rotting away in the tropical environment.

No, as Bollies said above, once SACAA has stuffed everyone around then we will paint ZS-SDC on it. First revenue flight is scheduled to JFK on 6th November. Let's hope SACAA don't put a spanner in the works.

No. They first have to be inspected by the CAA. Then they will be transferred to the SA register

The SACAA must be slipping, they didn’t demand a business class trip to China or Singapore to do some shopping... I meant inspection.

Remember a week or so ago when we made news because a whole lot of mango and comair planes got grounded? It was so we could do this inspection.

Yeah all good this side. The check was for aircraft with 30 000 plus cycles and even although the aircraft we service have less, they still got checked.
