FiveTen Sizing

Hi all

Looking to get some FiveTen flat shoes. However, I cannot find any in a physical store. I run size EU44 in my Shimano clipless shoes, so I'm wondering if they are equivalent? I have tried my local Specialized dealer for the 2FO flat shoes, but they don't seem interested in getting a pair for me to try.

My Five Tens (Maltese Falcons and Freerider Pros) run consistent with all my other shoes (cycling, running, casual).

Good luck with stock though, I'm looking for some Kestrels but GetStoked seems to be very low on stock.

Hi - I bought some online through a company called "pinned". They had a mixed bag of stock, but were very helpful and accommodating:

https://www.pinned.co.za/five-ten/

The stock on the website was not always reflective of what they actually had available.

Anyway, I think they are in Gauteng and the person I spoke to there (colleen I believe) was super helpful and so they may allow you to swing round and try a pair on if you are worried about sizing.

For what its worth, EU45 normally always fits me perfectly (its somewhere between 10 and 11), so I ordered that size and the fit was great.

I wear five tens size 44 and it is consistent with New Balance's sizing (New Balance 860, size 44 trail running shoes.) If that helps at all.

Yeah good luck finding them in store unfortunately :(

Because of that  (as well as issues we have been having lately with delaminating soles on 5.10 approach and climbing shoes too), I got a pair of Ion's which have been great. I also tried on the new Spex 2FO's which were also really light and a big improvement over my V1.0 2FO's as well. Recently a friends relatively new 5.10 clipless sole also just suddenly pulled off. So ya, there are other top notch brands out there to try :)

Over the last few years, I have bought 6 pairs of 5.10's, all size UK10. They have all fitted very well except for the last two pairs. One pair is very tight and feels at least a size too small, and the other is slightly better, but still not what the first four were like.

I got mine from pinned. I have the freerider pro and I should've gone at least a half size up as they are super tight around the toes. Subsequent reviews I read all say the same.

My OH has the normal freerider and he's fine.

Thanks guys. Pinged several stores for help and have got ZERO feedback so far. Seems no one is keen on taking my money

pinned all they way, i paid and got my shoes delivered to work a few days later.

So I just pulled the trigger on some Spaz 2FO Cliplite shoes. First impressions:

- Sole much stiffer than 5.10 Maltese Falcon (not a fair comparison though - Kestrel is more like 2FO cliplite)

- Sizes a bit more snug than 5.10. I used size 43EU in 5.10, this is a 44 (same as my other Spaz shoes)

- Spaz has stock, just popped into the store, tried on sizes and bought. I've been phoning around for days to get my hands on Kestrels to no avail. Lost sale because I would not even have looked at the big S if I could find Kestrels.

Have a look at the 2FO flats. I have the Freeriders, and I have to be honest the 2FOs look more sturdy - and have also heard of a few guys including someone I ride with regularly say their Freeriders Pro soles are not the quality the used to be - though I have no issues with mine so far (minimal km so far though).

Shot. I'm actually leaning towards the Bontrager Flatlines as the only dealer who got back to me will have a variety of stock by the weekend. No one else seems interested
