Hamstring Posted May 21, 2019 Share For me Berg and Bush never done Sani2c but have done Joberg2c, different riding in the Berg for 3 days for us from Cape Town.
BikeisLife Posted May 21, 2019 Share Hospitality - Sani2c takes it by a fair mile.Trails - they pretty close but I think Berg & Bush is a little more diverse. The best part about berg and bush is the option to stay in B&B's close by.
RocknRolla Posted May 21, 2019 Share Similar in trails, although, I would rate B&B slightly more technical.the geography is totally different, lending itself to more rocky terrain in the berg. As for Hospitality, I rate the BergnBush highest, as nothing beats chilling on the banks of the tugela with free beer. Amenities, pretty similar to Sani, however, tented options are now more diverse on BnB. Wannabe Posted May 21, 2019 Share I have the same question. Having done the J2C before (and dearly would love to do it once more, but it is just that tad too dear for me at this stage), I was wondering which of B&B or S2C I must shoot for. Problem also with both of them, is the logistics for a single rider.

Problem also with both of them, is the logistics for a single rider.if my memory is correct you can get a shuttle for B&B from airport to start and return, but we are MTBs and if you dont leave it to late you always can get a lift from a Jozi MTBer they are good chaps Wannabe
Paulst12 Posted May 21, 2019 Share Sani2c is point to point which changes the terrain, however makes it logistically hard as well. B&B is p2p on day one if you do the 3 day events however the next 2 days are camping in the same site, and for me that's the blessing. Kit, car, spares etc can all be sorted out pretty easily. The rest are pretty similar. Food, camping, and vibe are pretty similar given they are run by the same type of communities. The routes are both awesome... great Wall my China & Spioenkop vs Umkho drop... difficult to say one is that much better than the other. So in my view B&B is just easier logistically BikeisLife and arendoog
taito Posted May 21, 2019 Share BB is the better one .No moving around with all your stuff. Sleeping on the banks of the Tugela river. If you enjoy fast downhills that's the one to go for. Gen, cat-i and Wannabe

Martin PJ Posted May 21, 2019 Share I prefer Sani. Berg and Bush has great trails, also the central camp is great. I did Sani 9 times and B&B twice. If money was no object would do both every year. BigDL
Christie Posted May 21, 2019 Share Hospitality similar imo. Sini set the benchmark way back, but other events have diplicated the model. Scenery about the same Berg has Great Wall and Sani the Umko valley. What you like to ride should determine your vote: Sani for less technical, manicured singletrack, they even sweep it before the event. Berg for more rugged trails with steeper descents.
