He was out for some time with a knee injury..he'll be back to his best soon enough..

I'd like to see him up there. Was willing him on to make contact but the other teams didn't want him there and put the hammer down and the race marshalls pulled all the convoy out just to make it a bit tougher'r. Guess it's the same today, how much is he hiring from the TTT crash, how much are the other teams willing to shell him on the climb and how many matches he burnt yesterday trying to get back on. 

 

I'm pretty sure the other sprinter teams are going to leave it all to Bora to do today and not help out to put pressure back on the SamB and his guys. Sunweb will probably be there to keep the red jersey on the shoulders of Nico so he can rely on that as well.

Today is the closest to a Flat stage, except for the final stage of course. Sprinters will struggle to hang on during that Cat3 climb, some strongmen teams will likely push a higher pace there to drop Bennett and Gaviria.

 

Tomorrow is termed as "Hilly"  , I mean, look at that final climb, nothing "Hilly" about it.

That was a very close sprint. Jacobson drifted a lot though? Again good tactics by the wolfpack sending a guy up the road. They always 2 steps(or should it be steppers?) ahead of everyone else. Sammy B came from so far back, he is the fastest guy there at the moment. Pity Gaviria is still in a bit of pain and not able to unleash. Would be a good 3 way battle.
