Jewbacca Posted October 25, 2019 Share Yup. So it's still an XC race bike, just with a 120mm fork and better front tyre. Doesn't turn it into a trail bike, just makes it a more capable XC race bike. So exactly what I just said? Captain Fastbastard Mayhem

Jewbacca Posted October 25, 2019 Share I don't get this thread. Buy the Pyga, Buy the extra shock/fork and wheels and you are sorted. You can Endurobro on the weekends and race W2W and K2C and Joburg2C and all the other 2's in XC mode on the SAME bike! ChrisF Posted October 25, 2019 Share I have had positive experiences with both Spez and Pyga as far as pre-purchase treatment. Knipe Racing at Meerendal and Specialized in Somerset West happily gave me test bikes - they didnt feel great (for me) and I ended up buying a bike I hadnt tested (Giant Anthem X) and loved it (guess I was lucky). I now own a Scott Spark, which I also didn't test pre purchase (and also love - so lucky again I guess), not sure where I am going with this as far as testing goes but I would still recommend testing whenever possible and brands that dont give dealers adequate demo bikes are a bit kaka. Knipe_Racing has moved away from Meerendal a while back. Now in Durbanville. YES - excellent service from Louise and his team O, and YES - SCOTT SPARK all the way
