Definitely going to join for this one.

It will be so awesome to see you there and since you are doing Cape Epic its a no-brainer really. What better way to get you mentally & physically prepared fro the gruelling 8 day Stage race.

One of the toughest one day events I have done, but also arguably the best days out. So much single-track, views, CLIMBS, water points, cramps, CLIMBS, good vibes, great venues and farms, CLIMBS, like-minded folk (with cramps)....did I mention CLIMBS ??

At one stage I actually didn't mind the climbs cause flip all that singletrack almost made me more tired!

I still remember riding with half the skin off my middle finger (ran out of talent on one of the descends) and trying to do the singletrack when that was burning like hell...

Same here. Arms and hands took a pounding, but will do it again

The best remedy for this is to ride a lot of rough downhill single track so your hands and forearms get used to it, also try not to sit on the brake levers too much. Hoogekraal Cobra & Welvergenoegd comes to mind as well as some Contermanskloof.
