PhilipV Posted January 6, 2020 Share After tasting some lekker new trails this holiday I reckon I need to try and ride as many new trails this year as I can. I know there are very many gravel roads that are called trails, but I mean trails as in singletrack. So I'd like your input on setting up a list of trails/trail centers. Table Mountain National Park:Tokai, City Bowl and the Traverse between them. Tygerberg:Contermanskloof, Hoogies (other than boiemendaler the rest of the other trails there have never really held my interest. Maybe because the day permit doesn't allow multiple farm access?) Stellies:Eden. Mont Marie. Gspot. Coetzenburg. Jonkers. Simonsberg Banhoek Conservancy and Boschendal. Bottelary. Somerset West Helderberg The new Wannabee trails at Stellenzicht sound lekker, maybe combine it with a ride from Audacia and then include Dornier and the MM trails. Boland Taal Monument, Rhebockskloof and the around the Pêrel Traverse. Wild Boar. I'd also like to ride Franschhoek trails. There must be some trails around the dam. Elgin Oak Valley. Paul Cluver. Lebanon. Mto/A2Z/ Stolz Tri Cross revived trails. Overberg Wildekrans wines trails, Hermanus Hemel en Aarde. Greyton. Tesselaarsdal. Gansbaai -Lomond. Bredasdorp. Swellendam - Marloth. Grootvadersbosch.Garcia outside Riversdal. Stilbaai also has some lekker Trails. Garden Route George- Witfontein. GRTP. Knysna Surrounds. Harkerville. Cederberg and Ceres Eselfontein. Kaleo. Houdenbek. Sanddrif. Tulbagh(?) Swartland Piket-Bo-Berg. Kardoesie-Eendekuil Darling - Wolwefontein What am I missing? Please add if you know of something. The main Trail Centres are at Rhebokskloof, Spice Route, JanKan, Wildboar Trails at Val du Charron, at Boschendal in Pniel and Banhoek Conservancy. There are other smaller trail centres also along the traverse loop around Paarl Mountain.. All in all a yearly R1000 permit that gives you access to around 400km of trails.. worth every cent! We rode Banhoek and Boschendal on a day permit this weekend. Lekker ride. Very underrated trail network that. JohanDiv

ChrisF Posted January 7, 2020 Share I rode Hemel en Aarde last week, was super disappointed wouldnt waste my time riding there its barely an MTB trail Just goes to show how people differ .... We LOVED Hemel And Aarde trail - before the fire. Have not cycled there since .... part of the magic was the sections in the woods .... Sure, it aint a black route .... but what a nice natural ride. Far prefer this over the man made obstacles ...

PhilipV Posted January 8, 2020 Share I drove past Tulbagh today and realised that there must be trails around town if they are hosting Epic. Will add to my list.
