A friend of mine has offered to let me try out his wheelset, something he may regret in the future. His are Carbon, mine alloy, but, he has GX Eagle drivetrain, whereas my bike has Shimano 12speed drivetrain, both are 12x148 hubs. What are the chances the wheel would just fit in and run? Except maybe aligning the brake caliper? Would the derailleur have be adjusted as well? How much of a ball ache would it be to do the swap?

Knersboy Posted July 15, 2020 Posted July 15, 2020 Just check the chain compatibility. The 12 speed stuff can get tricky with chains.
Me rida my bicycle Posted July 15, 2020 Posted July 15, 2020 If seen Shimano 12spd run just fine on Eagle cassette. Might need just a tiny tweak to get the shifts perfect and adjust the brake. About 10min if you have a little idea of what you are doing.
