Hi guys, looking for some guidance from the collective wisdom that is 'Bike Hub'...

I'm currently running a DT Swiss ODL 120mm Race carbon fork on my MTB (see pic attached) and was thinking of selling it to go to a 140mm fork. What do you think a reasonable price for it is? Will be sold with normal crown lockout and not the remote lever.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

Detailed Specs below (its the 120mm 29" fork):

OPM O.D.L 100/120 Race - Carbon fork for 27.5 and 29 inches

RACE PROVEN - Jenny Rissveds and Nino Schurter raced their O.D.L Fork to the top step of the Podium at the 2016 World Championships and at the Olympic Games in Rio. #Goldstandard.
Those on a constant search for the lightest components will find the ultimate suspension fork in the OPM O.D.L Race. The sporty O.D.L suspension and a record-breaking weight of just 1410 grams allow you to fly through the singletrack. The super-stiff OPM magnesium lowers mean that you can hold your line though the tightest corner. A racing fork that’s a cut above the rest!

  • Weight: 1440g/100mm, 1470g/120mm
  • Travel: 100/120mm
  • Dropout: 15/100mm
  • Color: black
  • Material lowers: One Piece Magnesium
  • Spring system: NCS
  • Damping system: Open-Drive-Lock
  • Remote: Yes
  • Crown: Carbon (TFP-Techn.)

I'm not sure on age. Came on a second hand bike I recently bought. I've ridden less than 200km on the bike. Overall condition is good to very good with no visible marks on stanchions and the lowers have been covered with VPS to protect them.

It's worth what someone else is willing to pay for it.   I might be interested, but I don't think I am willing to pay what other people might be willing to pay for the fork.

You are welcome to contact me.

Steerer is about 180mm. It’s off a large frame.

Nope you need to measure it not about it.

Don't have to remove it.

If it is such a good fork (don't dispute it) do you need to replace it?

Or do you have the itch?

What kind of riding do you do and what bike is it fitted to?

Have you tried it? Bit nervous about the change...

Running a 140 Pike on my Following MB. The bike just sits right and handles really well. Make sure you run the 51mm offset.

The additional bb height also helps a little with pedal strikes.

Great - thanks. Are you still running 120mm on the rear?

So i spoke to Robbies Bicycle Concept in PE (who fitted the fork) he says the fork is about 18months old and would suggest a price of R9k second hand. I would service the fork before the sale.

Is this reasonable? The crown and steerer are carbon and the fork is ridiculously light.

Thanks in advance

List it for that in the classifieds, and if nobody's bought it in a month lower the price...
