But with Rogla 1:35 down, and WVA 31s down on the same time as Carapaz, it definitely makes sense to keep WVA in the best position possible, even if he is still riding for Rogla. If WVA attacks on a climb, he has to be followed, which gives TJV a big advantage over teams like UAE that only have 1 rider in the mix (second UAE rider is Formolo at 4:27 down).
