Some other aero geekery: He used a massive 62t single chainring upfront, sitting in the 62x13 for most of the ride. He says a 70t would have been better on the day. The water bottle behind his seat was also empty, only there for aero savings. For hydration he had a Camelbak bladder stuffed into the front of his aero suit. Apparently also providing 4 watts of aero gainz. Besides that, he used Speedplay aero pedals, custom carbon extensions, and a ton of electrical tape.
