There is nothing official yet but as they are 'access controlled' they should, according to what has been published, be open.

Will update as soon as we hear anything official.

Just open beaches/parks, booze and gatherings as far as I can tell.

Anyone’s guess at this stage, it depends on 1) what the published regulations end up being and 2) how SANParks decides to act.

 

At this point it’s technically supposed to remain open because it falls under the “public facilities which have access control in place will remain open” statement.

Latest update from local area management is that the trails remain open at the moment but they are awaiting feedback from senior management.

They were saying last night that national parks would be open to the public if there was access control .... TK has access control, so should be open.

ya but Hairy you are forgetting these are government departments and they will grab an extra two weeks holiday if there is a sniff of a holiday rag

Trails were open this morning with quite a few bikes out there.

 

Hopefully Parks don’t throw a spanner in the works.
