Hi Hubbers

Anyone have any suggestions on how or where to fix the torn mesh on my shoes? 

Or is time for a new pair?

You could try Rocksole before committing to a new pair.

And if they can't help, then you're in walking distance from Revolution Cycles who were good enough for the President. ????

I'd find an informal trader on the side of the road - generally they have the most experience and will patch that with a small piece of leather

cheaper than new shoes but not as nice

If there is enough "meat" to overlap(which from the photos it doesn't look like it) then this stuff works wonders. I have used it countless times on the kids clothes/shoes. But even if you want to put a patch in, you can still use it to stick it in.

Mr Parbo at Durasole in Wynberg is some way from Tableview, but it is an old family business who has done this kind of thing for generations, If anyone can do a proper job it will be them. It is a very difficult area to stitch neatly, but it can be done. I have taken all manners of shoes to them for quite complex repairs and they always did a good job.
