Just trying my luck here: I have a friend who is a pro-cyclist in North America and is looking for a Cape Epic partner. His words to me: Capable of going for a top 10/15?

Is it too late in the day for a request like that?

Also is all expenses covered or must the new rider contribute his half?

Who is your friend? That is a bold statement and while I have no reason not to believe his capability atall, it’s more about getting same caliber pairing and if that top 15 is a top 45, it will cause no good vibes.

i may have some real options for that result for him if need

Ya its really not an issue.

in 2018 I rode ToGH, then had a day of too watch the UCI XCO at Stellies. Sunday Morning rode CTCT and a bit and a week later lined up with last minute partner at UCT for the Prologue. Finished  strongly ahead of the midfield. Its all about managing your recovery .
