I will definitely be watching tomorrow - it’s a summit finish on the very tough Col de la Madeleine, a high category climb 18.6km long with a brutal average gradient of 8.1%.
Kim le Court Pienaar defended with what she describe as “the descent of my life” and will not be able to defend the leader’s jersey tomorrow, barring the miracle of a shortened mountain top finish.

It’ll be the day for the mountain goats - Gigante vs Squiban vs Nieuwadoma vs Vollering vs PFP, etc. And the stage also starts with the CAT1 climb. There’ll be no Pucks given. 🫠

The Femmes Tour this year is more exciting than "Tour de Pogi" 😅

How do you guys feel about it ?

While I didn’t feel that TDF was Tour de Tadej, I am really enjoying watching the ladies. There’s a totally different ambience to the men’s race and watching them dig deep and get it done is very inspiring.

Also bearing in mind - they don’t have a rest day. They’ve been at it since the 26th. They will climb 17240m over 9 days.

And if it’s your time of the month (as it’s been for Kim), trust me, take your worst suffer fest day and multiply it by two and then climb 2000+m in summer conditions. Chapeaux!

Somehow Kim’s still hanging on at the front of the yellow jersey group 1.51 behind the leader with 12.7km to go. Vollering hard on her tail in the group as well as P-P.

Squiban was in the front group but now caught by yellow jersey group.

Leading group is Fisher-Black, Muzic, Kastelijn

After personally calling every WorldTour team in 2024 for an opportunity and being given an opportunity with AG Insurance-Soudal, Kim is the massive surprise of the TdF Femmes. And after brave fighting in the Golden Fleece, she now succeeded, alongside her other teammate, to bridge  lead out Gigante to do the Spiderman speciality thing on the Col de la Madeleine.
Also the first rider outside of Europe to win a stage at the TdF Femmes.

Take a bow.

Petite powerful Pauline, with that peculiar pedalling style. What a palmarés.

There’ll be a million tears of joy as it is her childhood dream to win the TdF.
