Ok thanks, looks like I will just have to swallow my pride and go for the Motorex then, it is very close to Maxima plush, slightly better in fact, and much MUCH cheaper 

 

Also, after having read through this thread, I am quite pleased to see that slideway oil can be used for the lowers, now when my fox gold is done, I can just pinch some slideway oil from work 🤣🤣🤣

Compared to the fork oil, yes. Although both the Motul ones have a higher viscosity @ 40C - the VI 400 is way more stable through the temp range.

Again academic, cos they don't make it anymore.

Maxima - 14 @ 40 / 4.2 @ 100 / VI 228

Motul VI400 - 16.3 / 6.2 / VI 400

Motul 2.5 FL - 15.0 / 3.5 / 112

Can some confirm that I can use Rockshox 0W-30 suspension fluid to do the 50hr lower leg service on a Pike instead of using the newer Maxima PLUSH Dynamic Suspension Lube Light?

Yes this ia what was recommended in the manuals, at least up to the 2017 model, and what I run in my lowers. Not as critical as the suspension fluid in the damper unit.

I'm actually using Castrol Magnatec which is equivalent to 0W-30

RS Keeps Changing the Specification but the Forks Haven't Changed that Much, You Should be OK with 0W30
