Hi there. The past weekend I went away for the weekend and some lekker riding but got caught in the rain on Saturday.  Before the ride I noticed my power meter battery was flat but it was sort of expected as it has been some time since I last changed batteries so I just left it because I didn’t have time to change it. Anyway when I got back from the ride I went to change my battery and found that the small thingy that goes over the battery in the slot somehow came out of line with the cover and water got in, naturally I dried it out but unfortunately it turned out I didn’t have new batteries with me so I closed it up and left it for when I got home. Unfortunately I’ve been sick in bed since and today I finally got time to open up and change batteries and discovered the inside was rather wet, I dried it thoroughly and popped in the new battery only for it to not want to work at all. I’ve now left it open to air a bit and will test again tomorrow.

any advice on what I could do or who to contact if I need to replace anything would be appreciated

good luck I had a terrible experience with them with a product that stopped working after 6 months and they said it was my fault and offered me to replace it at cost. I decided to go for a stages at that price rather than giving them 1 more Rand. Product was poorly designed, the cap was very hard to put back in and turn, resulting in customers damaging the cap or not sealing it properly. All the other brands I had after that I had a great expenrience, firstly they are designed properly so that you don't need to take a day off to change a battery, and if you do have an issue they replace it under warranty (stages). Quarq worked flawlessly and 4iiii so far so good.

I've had this a number of times with my 4iiii power meter. I just leave it open for a couple of days to dry out and it normally sorts it out.

Hope you come right.

Stay away from a hair dryer or anything that blows direct air. All that does is blow the water into placed you don't want it. A warm place (out of the direct sunlight is the best), even better than rice.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I left it open to dry for two days and then played around with it and got it to work on the third try. It’s working normally again now but I will definitely keep an eye out to make sure this doesn’t happen, again or so I hope
