BarHugger Posted April 19, 2014 Share My bike took me to the emergency room.. silly railway line and breaking my fall with my chin = 8 stitches under the chin.. But as always there is a funny part to it.. today is my husband's bday.. So I will give you a chuckle. . So perfect gift (grippp gloves) too small for my husband, then I felt so bad I rush to town to buy him new riding sun glases.. he gave me the gloves.. we go ride, I come pipe and ruin the gripp gloves, he uses his other new pair of gloves to try stop the bleeding. . But we still need to get home 6km.. and he tares his favourite long riding shirt to use as a makeshift bandage which ties under my chin and over my helmet (at this point a probably look rediculous).. my hubby now riding the 6km back home in his bib only while I try not to pass out and fall down again... then the poor bday boy has to spend the next 2 hours with me at the emergency rooms while I get stiched up. Talk about a messed up bday Strongs and heal up quickly. Those pesty railway lines have taken their fair share of MTB'ers........especially the one near Van Gaalens. Had my first OTB training lesson there..... Gen

deanbean Posted April 20, 2014 Share All around Kei Mouth and Morgans Bay, and Double Mouth, but I took no pics. Rode along the edge of the kranzes, and saw a group of Gannets diving with some action in the water too. Probably tuna, or Bonnies, after the first sardines of the season. Oh and I found this family, which have been eaten Edited April 20, 2014 by deanbean fanievb, Vetseun, Lexx and 2 others

I can see clearly now, the rain is gone, I can see all obstacles in my way Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind It's gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright) Sun-Shiny day. I think I can make it now, the pain is gone All of the bad feelings have disappeared Here is the rainbow I've been prayin for It's gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright) Sun-Shiny day. Look all around, there's nothin but blue skies Look straight ahead, nothin but blue skies I can see clearly now, the rain is gone, I can see all obstacles in my way Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind It's gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright) Sun-Shiny day.
