Fork stanchion damage

Morning Hubbers,

I've noticed a gouge out of one of the stanchions on my SWorks Epic 🥵

What are my options - new stanchion, new fork (ouch $$$$), or anything else?

Thanks in advance.

New csu as soon as possible

Otherwise that's going to chew up the bushes which on a rockshox aren't replaceble anyway.

Looks like a rock got stuck there ?

Also don't ride it like that please and if you did just look for a new fork anyway , those are nasty

New uppers asap.

It's amazing how quickly this can happen. I was riding up Jonkershoek with a friend and a stone got flung up from his front wheel some how. He noticed immediately but as he got off the bike the fork moved and left a deep scratch. 2 week old Lyrik...

The Damage is done Already . Nothing You can do about That.

Take off the Lowers and Sand That Damage down a bit. Clean Everything UP in the Lowers and put in Fresh OIL and do your ride on Friday. The Stone is probably still inside. It will leak a bit of oil but so What.

Next Week get it Fixed.

If you can get it to me today or tomorrow I may be able to make a plan for you.

Carbon crown or alu crown?

RS bushings can be replaced, I have OE and aftermarket kits available. Stanchion tube replacement or CSU replacement will depend on whether the crown is carbon or alu - carbon crown CSUs are bonded together so I can't press the tubes in and out.
