Hmm, would be good to know for sure - I was hoping to convince my dad to do the Repeat with me next year.

Same here. Old man is 70+, so would be a good memory if we can pull it off

Could someone please post the info from the email regarding only one event?

*Edit: I emailed Ecobound and they confirmed there is no Repeat at this stage

There you have it. Demand is waning so cost cutting needs to happen (believe they have been overpriced for a long time now). They sit with an interesting marketing conundrum. Drop the price and hope they get more entries or Increase the price, have only one event and make more money with less effort/overheads.

All these bucket list events are in a similar boat with the majority of peoples budgets shrinking. However those that can afford it will continue to afford it even if the prices goes up. Within reason of course, but the less entrants the more "exclusive" the event becomes so........

So as an organizer you pick you poison and live with it. There is no going back I am afraid.

Well, f-it, expensive but entered.
My dad is 68 and still relatively healthy, no time like the present. He did the Karoo to Coast in a bit more than 5h15 despite Dr orders for regular stops, so definitely capable.

Bucket list event but agree that its overpriced, as much as I enjoyed the experience I wont be back for a few years.ย
