Morning lads.. finally back on my bike today after 2 months.. it was awesome..!

wasn't shifting so lekka and my breaks were squeaking so badly🤣🤣(that i can sort myself) so I'm doing some maintenance.. Im of the opinion this hanger has been bent in the move.. what do you guys think and should i just replace or is bending back an option. Or just tuning my gears.?

if replacement is the answer, please where and what part number do i search.? Does someone maybe have.?

Doesn't look to badly bent to you have a straightening tool? On the other hand hangers are usually inexpensive. But Ja I would straighten that one.

I have done the shifting spanner trick and straightened by eye.. must just tune now and i think we going to be good to go.. if it gives any trouble on the next ride i will just service and replace i think..

thanks.!

but please if anyone still provide me with the correct part number or just where to find one etc please.. i will still appreciate that.!😃👍🏻

Let a workshop straighten and align with the tool provided, any LBS should be able to order you a hangar from the agents or a generic therof. Always a good idea to have one spare.

Yeah im taking it in.. two months storage and i have not done a good job here now.. 🤣🤣🤪she needs a major service..

she would have been due one early November before the race.. that i didnt do😰

i must just do it

Get the bike shop to put a tool on it, quick and accuarate.

Some brands don't straighten well and snap instead. But most bike shops should have a replacement available or will be able to source one. Take the old one along and they can match it.

If you replace the hanger the new one will most likely need to be aligned as well. Get that one realigned with a tool.

Anything above 9 speed is not easily straightened by eye.

Beat me to it.

This is the correct answer.

A spare hanger isn't a terrible thing to have in your toolbox, but don't expect it to be straight on first fitment,

For what its worth. had issues with changing gears on only 2 sprockets...chain would slip. almost as if i had a new chain on a old cassette. lo and behold the hanger was bend out of this world. when fixed was like new...
