This is the "fun" with stats like these .....

 

Swartbergpass SOUTH is technically correct.  Yet so wrong .... 90% of that climb is in the first 5km, then the dip to the Hell turn, slight incline, and only then the last bit.

 

That first 5km (measures from the first river crossing) is one brutal climb.  And the way those erosion humps makes short sharp climbs ....  Raak nou sommer weer LUS vir daai berg

Will it be valuable / fun/ to upload this excel thingy and everyone can add what they think can be added?

I just put climbs there that I have done or still want to do in my life.
So yes.  There should be MASSIVE holes in that list and it would be nice if it could be updated with proposals like some of the above posts.

Waboomsberg pass AKA Merino Monster…. Probably worth a mention? 8km long but the climbing really starts way befor that… average gradient 9%….. some sections 1:6
