All Sealants Work Well. For about 30 Days.

After that It will keep air in but refuse to fix punctures.

They all Basically made from the Same Chemicals.  (Latex Based)

Not sure if I agree here. I have had sealants work well for much longer than 30 days. Particularly Enduro seal and Orange seal. Been using Peaty's for the last few months on both gravel and mtb and not had a single issue.

Worth trying Enduroseal.

It most certainly last a lot longer than "30 days".

Out of habit I do top up at around 3 months, up to that point it works perfectly.

I use whatever Mellow puts in my tyres every few months and I’ve yet to have a flat on any bike 🤷‍♀️ A month or so ago I picked probably 40 “dubbeltjies” out of my front wheel and every single one leaked sealant, spun the wheel, didn’t even have to top up the air, and the wheel is still good another 200km of short rides later.

That's very good Actually 3 months. Will Try it again Soon. 👍

The first time I tried it did not work for me. It Separated in the Bottle. Maybe they improved the formula.

All sealants have a shelf life. When I buy my Enduro Seal at Sportsman’s Warehouse I check the manufactured date and buy the bottle that was most recently manufactured. This helps with the separation, but I also shake the bottle well before I use it.

Ive been a long time enduro seal user. But since this My-cycle-life points thing nets you credit at cwc/cycle lab…ive been going there to fetch me some ‘free’ Stans every few months. Its all they have worth getting (except that expensive pink unicorn pee that is Muckoff)

So this past weekend i was cruising along with a friend and we were discussing how long its actually been since our last punctures and whether it was actually needed to top up after that initial seal (gravity tyres dont see many holes). I recently fitted new tyres so i was 150ml in on both wheels.

Well, Murphy was obviously hiding in the bushes…because i nice neat cut between the blocks meant it was now raining Stans sealant every rotation of the wheel. And thats as far as it went…stans all over my frame all the way down the trail. That watery crap takes forever to plug a hole.

I wont be bartering for it again…

i’ll go buy an enduro seal 5L instead.

Whatever you do get just avoid their Enduro Rhino sealant. I bought a new tyre and a bottle of that sealant recently from CWC and within 3 weeks I got a puncture, and that is when I discovered that the sealant was a complete failure.

I use Goats Milk sealant and I don't have any issues. I'm unsure if CWC / CL stocks it

I find that Stan's turns watery after a while, almost as if it has begun to separate.

I wish I could use Goats Milk but I’m lactose intolerant. Heard good things about Orange and Silca seem to be pleasing many, specially now they’ve launched 2.0.

Just beware of the silca marketing bs. A sealant that does not coagulate cannot seal

Yeah the push is always a lot stronger from them, but I rather see the feedback from non sponsored riders as to its effectiveness. I personally think your rim  design and tire combo play a huge factor inside all that we can’t see. Moving mass especially liquid can behave differently on the internal architecture. That said, we now introduce tire fillers and liners etc, making data available a lot more difficult to measure.

Anybody uses Sludge or have used it before?
https://sludge.co.za/product/uni-seal-1l/

We used it for about 5 years.  Both as tubeless, but also in tubes when Maritz had the smaller bikes.

EXCELLENT !!

Only one issue ... fine for MTB pressures, as soon as the pressure increase to large volume gravel tires ... it keeps on spraying and only starts sealing when the pressure has dropped.  Some allmighty messes with small glass cuts .....

Started switching all our bikes over the Enduroseal about 3 years ago.  No issues with low or higher (gravel) pressures.

Sludge was the original sealant. It even predated Stan’s!! It was used by the 4x4 community and for off road motorbikes (vroom vrooms not whiiiiiiiir s)

I don’t think they have ever changed the formulation, so as Chris says, good for low pressures and also it’s near impossible to get it into the tyre via the valve stem.

Speaking of sealant has anyone used those Muc Off valves that have the side port for sealant? Gimmick or clever? I can’t find a link now but saw it across my FB feed. It has a normal valve for air and then a side port with a tap for sealant.
