Cycle Lab Fourways managed to return my bike to me with the chain incorrectly fitted after doing absolutely nothing to investigate my chain slipping issue on 2 previous occasions. They literally could not put a chain back on a bike.  Where can I take the bike to sort this as I have no faith in that place.IMG-20250308-WA0002.jpg.36ab054c911ea03ca6e35e42f2526737.jpg

I hear good things about Melo Velo in your neck of the woods. If you were in PTA I would offer to resolve any and all bike related issues free of charge. Unless you want to drive through

Thanks Robert I will check them out!

Can also be that only the wheel was incorrectly fitted? Just take the rear wheel off and put it back and make sure the chain is in the right place

I  check that out thanks for the suggestion.

The photos aren’t great. But it looks like your derailleur hanger is bent.

Sorry about that but yes they took the chain off to check the derailleur which is indeed bent.

That derailleur is bent in its chops. The chain is also routed around the outside of the cage and not even over the jockey wheels. I would say that the technician that did this job has some massive explanation pending. Also it seems like Cyclelab owe you a new derailleur if it's the RD that was bent and not the hanger.

I would take the bike back to them, demand to speak to management and demand they restore you to the condition you were before this mess began, failing which you want your money back.

Poor service needs to be called out and the people doing it must take responsibility. This is unacceptable. I hope you come right.

Could be that the mech or hanger were already bent as OP had a slippage issue. At the minimum they should fit chain correctly and attempt to bend things straight - not sure they owe him a new RD though.......

I know it's not Friday but I tend to shy away when I see a bike upside down 😁

Yep it was bent initially. So it's really the chain issue after a debacle to get them to just check the RD.  Ha sorry about the upside down bike!
