So which crazy fan is going to risk his life to salvage the bike? And what do you think it'd be worth on e-bay?

Very bad news for JL, but thank goodness he's alright and he got the KOM. Also, a lot more people know who he is now, which can only be good for his future prospects.

The kid is a rocket, cant wait to see tonight, the crash is a shame, but look at the result, and this late in the tour, we all thought he would exit end week 2, major prospect, I am sure he is getting noticed by the big teams, he did show Hincapie and Popovych a clean pair of heels...

Such a pity. The four guys who caught him on the descent stayed away. He would've been top 5 at the worst, and he is quite fast in a small group sprint, so a stage win was looking very realistic.

I reckon Murphy lives in the Barloworld bus. Ai, such bad luck.

Go John-Lee!!! Thumbs%20Up

whole thing was lovely to watch. how he was unmatched when he put in the kick, then the head tilted to the right with the effort...

he actually took that fall with grace and poise, slowed himself down nicely on the scree slope, coulda been worse, god, even the spectator who was tring to help struggled to get up.

I would love to have read his thought balloon at that moment. Just needs some tips from Greg Minaaar and he'll be able to take those "short cuts" with ease. LOL He's certainly going to get noticed for his efforts thus far though. Good effort he's putting in for his first Tour. The big names will be watching out for him now.
