One can understand when the rider puts a higher priority on his or her's family. My cousin did the Epic a few years ago. I asked him afterwards if he would do it again, and his answer was no. There is clearly a higher priority in his life. He's fit and fast enough to be at the front ish but I doubt he's putting in enough to win it again. This is how prioritization works

Strange comment to air in my view ah ,i guess that aligns with observations. A professional sports career is not 9to5 and it can be hard on the partner since they're left with the crying children. Problem, the other party signed up so its unfair to ask for change when what you signed up for pays the bills and lifestyle
