Has anybody had feedback from top tickets? On the Facebook Boland 100 miler site there is a pic of canceled events - with a vague suggestion of future replacement events. Have tried this avenue to no avail. Also emailed.  Again no reply.

cost of recovery will outstrip the entry fee.

Agree. Who is the actual responsible party? Have they done this sort of thing before? What was the outcome of that, if any?

There is little that can be done - the reasons for this discussed here. We are all tie last in a long line of people hoping to get something back - take solace that you didn't, like some mamils, enter this event, the tour du cap and the boland gravel monster.

Not necessarily, go to small claims court. No legal representation allowed, quick and fast process. All the company information should be in the invoice, such as company name, registration number, VAT no. ect. Serve your papers by email. Check the T&C's or "contract" for the race entry to foresee what possible defense may be raised regarding refunds.

Except there are no funds to settle - we are all tied last in a race of creditors

Who are the involved parties to watch out for moving forward?

No one (or everyone). One of the better race organisers who clearly got in over his head.
