Hulle het my hemp van my lyf af geskeur.?

And it is time to hit back!

I also find that story hard to believe... I mean, I believe that he got "donnered" good, and I'm not saying it should be done. But there's a reason to give anyone a good hiding.  Like the bloke I wanted to flatten on Sunday during the race.

We were riding doing about 40km/h and we were passing him and he was going really slow. However, he was very vocal about the distance at which we passed, seemingly it was too close. Now, I can't help the 10 guys who passed him before I got there (very fast pace line) however if I have done nothing to you please do not swear me for no reason, I take exception to this! I also don't care how old you are, if you're old enough to swear me, you're old enough to get F*&%#D up! So he seemed very surprised when I jumped out of the pace line and came back to him and almost klapped him off his bike. He doesn't know my mother that way so he should have left her out of it!

My point is, any person who starts something must be prepared for the backlash... That is why when I ride I am weary of throwing signs at motorists, because there are consequences. Same goes for motorists, you start *** with a bunch of cyclists, be aware of the fact that there are consequences. This also applies to cyclists versus cyclists, if you going to bring it, then bring it, but I've already brought it and if you going to swear me for no reason, I don't care if you're 70, I'm going to take you to task, especially since I'm a polite cyclist... Embarrassed

Everything you say is spot on Pantani.  But we live in a civilised society.  At least, that is how it is supposed to be.  If one has to fear for your life every time you offend someone, then what have we become?  Barbarians?Thumbs%20Down

Maybe it is a good this the omie got donnered.  Maybe the next motorist will think before being rude and impatient towards cyclists.

It seems that lawlessness is taking over and even some cyclists seem to think that if you are commiting a group crime, it is ok.  IT IS NOT!

Cyclists are NOT elevated above other people. Even if the reponses above may suggest so!!!!! NO CITIZEN may take law in his own hands. I sincerely hope that the six fools who assaulted mr Grobbelaar are apprehended, sentenced and locked up in jail. They have NO place in society and deserve the FULL inhumanities of our correctional facilities, even if they are cyclists. Those of you that think this is a "good deed" minds are just as warped as the cyclists who did this. It does not matter what he did, what they did is not acceptable in any society.... however skewed our society may be.

In their testosterone riddled state they did not for one moment think what harm they did or are doing to the cycling fraternity. We are a unprotected minority by virtue of the sport we chose to practice.

Listen, I actually don't like riding with guys who get all upset everytime a motorist does something, to me it's not worth the trouble. I believe the axiom, "Live by the sword, die by the sword". So when people whip their swords out, be prepared for the other bloke who might have a bazooka!!! Hahahahahaha LOL So generally I avoid confrontations....

No need to motivate your aggressiveness Pantani!!!!!!

OK, my bad Big H... Embarrassed I feel sorry for that old man but I'm a man, and when I get into a confrontation with a man that's bigger than me, someone like you for instance Big H, I back down and walk away... I suppose he tried to walk away but they were riding faster than he could walk? Just like I tell my girlfriend, never hoot at people in anger if you not prepared to fight, just apologise and move on... Ouch

I'd like to hear the cyclists story, the motorist probarly hooted at them, and then tried to run them over... He must be a regular looking for sh*t on that road if they knew where he was working. Because they waited for him at his work, when he stopped at work there was 6 cyclists??? He got what he probarly deserved, no one get aggressive because a motorist hooted at them. And I don't think I'm gonna look for sh*t with a bunch of 40 cyclists... he probarly couldn't count.LOL
