I just got a call from my dad and we know the "Oupa" that got sorted out by the riders. It p$ss me off what these cyclist did but have to add that knowing this guy he is a "k@k maaker" of note. The kinda guy that would look for trouble. He phoned everybody and told everybody he got BADLY HURT but the Dr's  statement said that he was just bruised. Still think it is bad for the sport what these riders did. There are a lot of riders who are waaaaay to arrogant for their bike seize.

Ag shame..... I don't hope his wings and halo got damaged in the attack. The fact is that your average motorist sees a cyclist as target practice - they will stop for a dog in the road but not a cyclist.

 

If cyclist doesn't stand up for themselves, nobody will. While some cyclists are arrogant with road use the fact is a 10 kilo bike is yet to win against a 1 tonne car.

This unfortunate incident proves that ONE motorist used YOU as target practice.

 

It does not prove that the AVERAGE motorist uses ALL cyclists as target practice.
