Shaving

Slave

Recommended Posts

I'm not yet that serious type cylcist that I am debating whether or not to shave my legs, but I really want to know what the reason / logic is behind this passtime.

I have heard several differing explanations, but they all seem illogical.

there are many reasons:

massages are easier (though no-one actually gets rubbed down)

Less pain in a crash

easier to apply pre race rub

cooler on ascents

prevent the lycra pulling it out

looks cool (All roadies are gay?!)

because my wife insists

hygeine

because all cyclist shave.

and lastly,

I worked for hours on these legs and I want others to perv.

the last reason is the real reason

Are you a roadie or a mtbr?

If you're a roadie, shaving is gay. If you're a mtbr it's twice as gay. If you're gay, problem solved! Shave away!

I'll get my coat.

My wife digs it when I'm all smoothThumbs%20Up

My reason is for hygiene purposes. If I land up on the tar then it's easier to clean the wound and if bandages are needed then it's not so sore when removing them.
