If Super cycling is so bad for you to watch, then just dont watch it! Simple

Personally I'd rather watch Supercycling than have no cycling program at all to watch

I really enjoy SuperCycling!

I am not an Andrew or Arnie fan by a long way but I try and catch SuperCycling every week - I think we're really fortunate to have weekly coverage of our local "fun rides" - I haven't seen this anywhere else in the world...

The commentry may be a bit lame to an experienced racer but I would imagine the majority of viewers are less experienced and gain a lot from "obvious statements". They probably get repeated a lot too but the audience will change and a repeat now and then will appeal to the new viewers.

Viva SuperCycling viva!

I ussually record the show with the PVR, then when I watch it later on I use the fast forward button alot.Wink Takes like 10 to 15 minutes to watch what I find interesting.

I am not to sure here, glad to see I am not the only one that thinks this is a poor program!

If I have a choice, I would probably say, drop the program, or at least all the presenters, that will already go a long way in improving it...

Even a 2 hour program once a month could be better than watching the bull they try to dish up every week.

I would agree with you if it was compulsory to watch, it's not and that's when the remote plays it part.

Personally I enjoy Supercycling. I also enjoyed the Dr's talk on carbo loading. It was informative. Not all of us are experts on the topic. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

I also think that Andrew and Arnie did a good job on the Fleshe Wallon considering they are not there. Phil is the best, but he spends a lot of his time at the races and he knows most of the riders personally. So if Andrew makes a mistake with a name...........so what!

I do enjoy the show but this week show really sucked. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

They only thing they showed was BMX from 8 year novices to 50 year old pros.

No Mountain Biking, no Road cycling, no Downhill world cup, not even the Daryl Impey incident, not even a replay???

I dont have anything against BMXers but do we really have to see them All for the whole show.  That would be the equivalent of watching all the groups in a PPA race.  <?: prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Ill be looking forward to see my mate in group W then!

The strange thing is, and I am sure many of you have experienced this.  Because the show is there, and it is after all our passion, one tends to flick to it every week, hoping for something nice and/or better, just to be disappointed most of the times.<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

It is not so easy to ignore it or not to give it a try!!  It is after all a cycling show and we should be able to demand better.  For what we pay for in machines, equipment, clothes, races etc. we should expect nothing less than the best!!  And we should demand it?

Poor cycling programs, magazines, races and cycling shops should be taken out of play as there should be no place for them in a competitive environment where businesses are trying to get into the ?deep? pockets of cyclists.

Personally, I stopped watching ages ago mainly because I found it juvinile and boring.

Another thing that irked me tremendously was the RA,RA attitude, if Mr Maclean or Owen attended a race their report would be, it was fantastic, best race ever, what a great crowd, the support was remarkable, the sponsor was (gives shameless plug) and they are just fantastic, the parking and boerie rolls were the best ever,................and so on and so on, ...............well I dont know sometimes I wondered if I attended the same race, cos I mostly found them pretty ordinary.

Now as someone else said take Naas and the show Boots and All, - he climbs in and says his piece, this is great / poor tackling, this was a pathetic attempt at drop kicking, they need to get more players onto the ball, the (other teams name) keeps collapsing the scrum this is a tactic of theirs, ...................................one gets the feeling he says it as it comes. This is a mature show with commentators who say it as it comes, not glossy stories and pretty pics, with SC, one gets the feeling you are watching a disney show.

Phil is fanatastic but to be fair, he repeats himself and makes plenty mistakes (usually correct by Sherwin, when he's not repeating himself).  Andy and Owie were really not that bad AND it was great to have the race live.

I have to agree with the criticisms of the weakly programme though - although it is better than some other sports : anyone suffered through BikeSA tv ?
