Hey guys, I picked this up on OLX for R200. Can anyone help me identify what model it is? Shamal/Vento/Zonda?

Thanks!

definitely a Shamal. It has a C-Record front hub which is the giveaway. Nice score

Fantastic! Thank you so much!

Its a beautiful wheel, bearings are a bit rough though. Is it just a standard cup and cone setup?

Here is my contribution to the retro bike thread. I bought this Battaglin from an elderly gentlemen. I intend to send her into the shop soon for a service and respray.

Pic to follow. Didn't load

My advice, for it's worth.

If you want the Battaglin to maintain it's value, don't respray.

This depends on it's present condition, of course.

dont just respray it, let someone who knows see the condition first or you could ruin a collectabe bike ...........

Thank you for the advice. I admit I am no bike expert. Will post pics.

I'm not so sure its a Shamal hey - I had a set which i bought with my first Bianchi and they had 12 spokes - I think the Zonda had 16.  Unless there were two versions of Shamal maybe?
