I'm about to force a stuck vintage BB shell off a 70's Le Jeune. Sprayed some anti-corrosion potion in/on there last night, and ready to try again. Axle/shaft is out, drive side is not budging.

Just want to confirm - does all Le Jeune's have English threaded BB's? Don't want to be rotating it the wrong way 😑

Hi Eddy, I assume the BB cup(s) you have in the frame are not stamped 1.37 x (English) or 36 x Italian?

If you have removed one of the BB cups and the other side is stuck check the diameter of the cup removed. Eng cups are smaller than Ita )+-34.8mm for Eng and 36mm for ITA.

Another easier method is to use another set of BB cups with the ENG 1.37 x stamped. If the cup screws in it's Eng, if not Italian. Always remember for Italian the "righty, tighty and lefty loosely".

Post a few pics or call me for assistance.

Hi all, Help! Where can I buy a 1" ISO 24 tpi die. I have searched and hoping someone in the technical realm could steer me to a tap & die supplier (preferably in the Jhbg area).

Is this to cut a thread on a fork

Yes. My LBS has misplaced their die and I am wanting to place a few more threads on a fork and clean up the threads on another.
