i am left handed so i have the stronger(front) brake in my weaker(right) hand. but that is the way the giants comes, when the front brake is in the left hand it is known as DOWNHILLER setup, dont know why.

2. Now I understand why I always see you (ok mostly) lying on the ground in pain !!!

Coming to the bottom of a decline you still need to be on the brakes, left hand for the rear brake, and getting ready to shift gears for the incline, right hand for rear cassette, on my bike anyway. Thought it was obvious?

the biggest reason I have my front brake on the right...

I dont want to get confused when coming of the motorbike!

breaks are always on the right with motorbikes, plus that is the brake you use the most, why not use your strongest hand for better control?

You should have been in the right gear long before getting to the other side . BTW my bike got shifters on both sides of the handlebar .

Exactly, thats why you have it on the left that way you can get into the right gear before you get to the other side while still having the option to use the rear brake.Thumbs%20Up Did I mention the rear cassette?Evil%20Smile

Do I have a choice?

the front brake caliper has cable insertion on the RHS of the calliper.

So when I run the cable under my bartape it seem most logical to let it come over and down from the LH lever. It then looks neat.

If I try to connect it to my RH lever its a 'tight' turn to get it down to the calliper.

Can I buy a front calliper with LH cable entry?
