I pulled out in Montague but got back on the bike at the last stop after I'd cooled down and rehydrated. Before I got back on I removed my timing chip. I didn't pull or push any of the team riders in the next section, didn't cross the finish line and didn't take a medal. I did take the coke voucher though, I'm not that much of a Saint.

You might not be a saint (your words) but you do have integrity. My opinion is that the coke voucher was covered in your entry fee.

No time, no medal,no problem.

i saw a lot of guys cheating, the guy in question did cheat,  his wife on route PICKED HIM UP, not with the team back up car.

SHE WAS SHOCKED WHEN THEY STOPPED ON THE LAST HILL TO TAKE PICS AND HE TOOK HIS BIKE OFF :-( ROAD TO THE FINISH FRESH.

He does not sell USED cars any more.

Scarry thing he now sells SPORTS supplements.

HOW DO YOU STOP IT?

WHAT SHOULD YOU DO ABOUT IT?

not sure what is worse lying about your $E% or cheating in sport :-(

I find it quite sad when people have to cheat to beat me ..... I see cheats at almost every mtb race.

I remember talking to motorsprt person near the halfway at the Walkerville race and then pulling away from him only to catch him again going up the hill to the finish .... he never did answer my question.

I still think this type of behaviormust be reported to the PPA. Once off cycling he will hopefully he will take up running or something....

Amazing to think he can get away with it. The cycling fraternity is small, and believe me people talk. Let's see him find a DC team next year!
