It has a thread but it's not here, so this is my bike.

I saw one of these frames in Black & white @ Epic Cycles the other day. Pure. Bike. Porn. Picked it up. Felt it. Caressed it. And Simon would have had to restrain me had I held onto it for a moment longer than I did.

Very schweet bike there, Dangle. Consider me greeeeeeeen!

Nice on the bike, Dawie.

Pity I got such bad arc-eyes building those whiteys. Next time I'll wear sunglasses.

Hope Hubs, ZTR 355 Rims. DT Revolution spokes, black, red alu nipples.

The second-prettiest wheels I've ever had the pleasure of building.

Here's a pic of my "old" Mtb, a Schwinn Mesa, and my "new" Mtb. Swopped the frame (together with a few other bicycling bits and bobs I had floating around) out for a Giant XTC2 SuperLight frame, my "New" Mtb.

Did the rebuild with the help of Mark Rich of Cape Town Cycles. THANKS MARK, YOU ARE A STAR

Specs as follows: Sram XO gripshifts, rest Sram X7 spec (soon to be upgraded to X9)except for crankset which is Deore with external BB. Wheels are Shimano M565, disc compatible (disc also to be fitted in future) Tyres are Geax Saguaro in front and Mezcal at back, tubeless off course. Fork is Dart 3 with remote lockout (WILL BE FIRST THING TO BE UPGRADED!!) Bike weighs in at about 13 kg.

Will be taking her for a shakedown run at Majic this afternoon.

Schwinn Mesa

Giant XTC2, SL.

OK, back from my Majik ride. No expert on bicycles, but Giant frame feels more responsive than Schwinn (could be down to size, as the Schwinn was a 20", where the Giant is a 18"). Enjoyed a leisurely hour long ride. Now legs up, resting for Burger tomorrow.

Good upgrade, Wannabe... lekker to do it slow & steady on a frame that you really appreciate. You'll save loads on weight when you swap out that Dart!

I agree, but what to replace it with. Will a white Fork be overkill. Still want to fit white Lizardskin grips.
