HowellingWulf Posted June 4, 2010 Share Let add my name to the cool dudes list then... Bought a RD from Matchsticks not too long ago. Excellent service.Sold a crankset to Scoe earlier this year- no hassle. Will spend more money on stuff provided it is guys from your cool dudes list, cheaper than the shops and it is something I need. Spend a fair amount of time on the Hub so I "know" most of the regulars and would easily do transactions with them. Not like that newbie a while ago that sold a couple of top end bikes but did not know any of the specs on the things and f'cked up the ones he did know... Edge_Design Posted June 4, 2010 Share Bought more than I can remember (built 2 bikes so far from parts off the hub and seriously upgraded my other bike). Probably sold at least as much, if not quite a bit more though... Never had a terribly bad transaction (must be at least 30+ purchases/sales so far). Lots of ppl promise to buy something and then cancel, but that's more of an irritation than anything. The hub also introduced me to CRC and Total Cycling and I would hate to work out what I've spent there! Almost time to sell off 4 high-end bikes and then (hopefully) I will be pushing the record on hub sales!

DMC007 Posted June 5, 2010 Share Frail... I see nothing wrong with that, after all this is a cycling forum and your participation is of NOTE. I myself would like to meet some Hubbers at future races.

Trubie Posted June 6, 2010 Share I lost count of what i spent on the hub - waaaaayyyy too much thoughcould probably be R 50 k in last 18 months.Have sold a few items too.Like the fact that you can always expect to pay more or less what its worth cause as soon as a item gets posted it will be scrutinized and you soon have a very good idea if its a rip off or not.Never had a problem, met some great guys too.First ever seller I bought a cassette from was JMK1, we met up by chance at Bela Bela recently and had a nice chat - that is what I like about the hub, the people you meet and can share cycling stuff with. There are some people on the hub I never hope to meet, but in general a cool bunch of dudes and dudesses
brad890 Posted June 6, 2010 Share i agree with some of the posts in this forum, it would be pretty cool to meet some of the guys from the hub especially some of the guys with really high post counts, i myself am a newbie to the hubs, or should i say the sport lol, am loving mountian biking, did the 80km lionman as my first race this year and loved every moment of it, it was pretty funny was acutally thinking while riding how many guys i was passing or being passed by were on the hub lol, must admit though the attitude of people who do mountain biking is really awsum, i find people to be friendly, and unstuck up, i had quite a laugh and joke with some of the people on the race. thumbs up to all you mountain biker out there (sorry roadies i haven't had anything to do with the whole road thing, but sure you guys are also a stand up bunch of guys) brad8902010-06-06 05:33:
