Maybe I'm dumb, but why do you need a chain tensioner on a single-speed bike (apart from looking cool)? The chain doesnt need any slack to change to a bigger cog.

The frame's got vertical drop outs so there is nothing to keep the chain tight or relax it for that matter. On horisontal drop outs you can tighten the wheel at the correct chain tension.

hardly - they're the cheapest of cheap non-series shimano 8sp cranks.....
