What attack? I didn't even see Contador attack. I saw schleck attack, Vino bridged, and as he did so, the rest of the group led by Cpontador started coming across. At the same time Schleck sat up, much like he did when practicing his track-stands on that other stage... Seems to me like Contador thought fine, you want to platy games, I'll use Vino, go past him and go hard. I saw plenty of Menchov and Sammy at the front as well, why are they not lambasted?

Hell, why is Vino not kakked out as well, cause he was right next to Schleck when schleck sat up. Useless kazakh should have pushed him. WTF?

If it was a technical problem AC should have waited, however if AS made a mistake (bad gear changing technique) then bad luck for AS.

However in real time as it happened it would be difficult for a rider in AC's position to judge if it was rider error or technical failure and AC had to make the decision at the spur of the moment. In hindsight it appears he made the correct decision as AS problem seems to have been rider error and not a technical issue.

What I find interesting tho is that Contodor said he did not see what happened to Schleck but was told about it afterwards...

"We'd been marking each other and I was starting to think about attacking. I was told after I did attack that there had been an incident, but when I launched the attack I didn't have any idea about what the incident was," Contador said.

Personally I find this hard to believe as he was only a few meters behind AS when it happened, what happened to Schleck was not what you could consider a natural movement for the circumstances yet AC never even glanced in AS direction until he was much further up the road??? This tells me he knew AS had a technical related problem before he passed AS, and he knew that if he turned his head to look he would not be able to say "I did not have any idea"

Snake in the grass stuff from ole eyebrows I tell you…

whatever! it is a race! it is not contador's problem that andy's chain got stuck. cyling is man and machine... if he had a flat should contador have to wait for his team car aswell? you must take it as it comes...

it would be great if andy can come back on win it now!

As the saying goes "rules are meant to be broken" perhaps the new breed of cyclist comming through prefer to ignore them, or perhaps Contador is such a masterful cyclists he was able to ascertain that AS problems were human error rather than mechanical which is why he attacked

Go Andy :D

Watched it last night and old Phil said straight away that he had the right to go...the other guy only said later on that he was not sure. I heard on Sky that LA agreed that AC should have gone and reminded everyone that AC had waited for AS earlier in the tour and that showed his sportsmanship.

For all those quoting soccer and injured players, during the final minutes of the SWC final Torres went down with what looked like a life threatening injury...and Netherlands took the ball from him and kept playing looking for the goal.

I've got a mental picture of a bunch of hot guys wearing a patch over their other eye.

I wonder if Andy gave his mechanic a PK?

I recon Da Cont could have hung back a bit.If he recons he is strong enough to take Andy on 'manno e manno',but I think he is **** scared of Andy and decided to tgake any advantage he can."kick him while he is down"

This does not surprise me about Da Cont, after all the other sh1tty this he has done and said.

Go Andy, kick him in his small ones.

Similar thing happened to Evans in Spain last year. He got a puncture and Valverde the doper took the opportunity to attack him while he was down and played the big hero act. Maybe that's how the Spanish roll.

Schleck = bad sportmanship for not waiting for Chavenel (who was in yellow) when he had a mechanical incident on the cobbles or have we conveniently forgotten that? Have a look with both eyes and you will see that AC was gaining ground on AS when AS had his little chain problem and AC also had to worry about Sanchez and Menchov who were up the road already and only 2 odd minutes behind him.
