And i guess we should all stop buying anthem's becuase there has been a recall, or toyota's? The mark of a good company is that they will recall if they suspect anything has gone wrong with their product, or that something may go wrong. The mark of a bullsh1t artist, is trying to place dubious marketing material on a forum to try and influence public opinion. Please follow the advise as stated previously on this thread.

1. f@#ck off and die would be preferable.

2. If the above fails to materialize please go and get a proper marketing company to handle your product and if there is any value to your product or if it realistically could compete with magic shine, the product will earn a reputation like magic lights did. Your actions really doesnt envoke a feeling of confidence in your product through, I appologise but i forget what **** your trying to sell, and frankly i am too lazy to scroll back to see.

Do have yourself a lovely day

seems like some of you are just ticked off cause you payed so much money for your lights, now along comes this Magic thing at such a good price.

Stop running bargains down, its not nice.

Not every one out there can splash out 4k on lights. well done to you if your ass has money.

FAstbike imagine how you will feel when your state of the art thingy breaks and theres no back up at a race for you.

guaranteed 40 lights like you have at a race, some will fail...

it really seems you just pissed off cause you cant sell your brand.

Get over it dude..

I agree, they are bright, but we will se how many are still in working order a year from now. Remember these lights only came out this year.

what lights do you ride with?

did you do TB?

and do you ride often in the dark? singletrack? singletrack downhills with some rocks? what lights would you recommend, and why?

The supplier recall it, not the manufacturer, idiot you are.

Wow, youre a complete ass. Would love to stick a MS battery up your ass and see it go poef.

Very interesting thread...

I can think of two reasons for starting this thread.

A)you spent a load of cash on a fancy light and are peed off by the value and performance of this one at a fraction of the cost.

B)you make/sell mtb lights and see magiclight as a competitor.

Is fastbike = brighter lights? BigToe suggested he is, and since he didn't deny it in the next post I would suspect he is.

If that is the case then this is a stupid business move.

AFAIK, magiclights = magicshine lights with some local quality control and testing, and a local guarantee. So essentially a much more reliable version of the same product. I think brad (magiclight) would know exactly how many magiclight failures there were in the race (because he would have follow up warranty). FAstbike is referring to six failures, brad to two. You do the math on the magicshine failures then.

Since the topic (started by fastbike) is about magiclight, we can ignore the rest of the failures.

So what did we learn here?

#If you want a cheap magicshine, buy direct.

#If you want a reliable magicshine, buy from brad.

#fastbike reckons a magicshine battery inserted up someone's rectum will explode.I thought I knew a thing or two about lights and batteries, but this is the first time I've come across this phenomenon.fastbike must clearly have experience of it happening.

Did my first day/night race yesterday from 15-00 to 20-00.

Used a 818 on bars and 808 on helmet.

Light's were awesome lit up the track for miles head light great for cornering lines and technical twisty bit brilliant combo.

I think a lot of people knocknig them either dont have or have never used them or maybe had their lights out performed by these.

During and after the race yesterday had a few guys asking about the lights and plenty comments whilst on the route at how bright they were.

On a night ride last week my Magiclight suddenly became very dim and had a brown circle in the middle of the beam.Took it home and recharged but still had the problem. Took it back to my LBS and there was no problem replacing it. A quick call to the supplier and i was sorted. If I get that kind of backup Im happy.

None of my lights died in Trans Baviaans... some has done their 4 Trans Baviaans this year...

I can tell you why many more Magicshines WILL go wrong at some stage... see photos of a STD Magicshine I opened... one little pull on the cable and the housing will cut right through the insulation and create a short... POOR soldering... one component isn't even soldered...

It's all over the web.. just search... people still praising them are too ignorant to realise what they're dealing with...

Just imagine your light going dead at 50km/h... pretty sure the light's not gonna feel any pain...

Your just jealous coz no one want to buy your expensive lights

fastbike...one can only deduce that as the inventor of brighter-lights i.e probably an electrial engineer or the like...you should hire a marketing person to help you get your product into the market, and not by trying to see how many lights failed but rather by testimonials of how good your kit is!....you should quit while you're NOT ahead!

My 10c <- inflation..

As far as I know, fastbike is NOT the inventor of Brighter-Lights.

I know the inventor/owner of Brighter-Lights, and his nick on the hub is not fastbike!!

Having said all this, this fastbike guy remains one serious tosser.

I wonder how many wedgies he got at school? He probably stopped counting after the 2nd grade!

What a scheister!!

simple,

fastbike = loser!

brighter lights = too frickin expensive! can buy 4 magic lights for price of one brighter lights! can't justify spending so much money on lights when I only do one or two night rides a week and seeing that there are only two 24hr events in a year!
