I am looking for ideas for higher end single speed specific frames for a project. Rigid or suspention at front.

Thinking about Niner SIR9, Santa Cruz Highball, Cannondale with Lefty

There are some serious expensive titanium frames but that is out of my league

Any ideas?

If you are looking at carbon you could consider the Lurcher from On-One with matching Rigid fork. It comes with horizontal dropouts. You can get the frame and fork landed in SA for approx R 9000.00

One very very nice bike ..... you should note that the rear drop outs are replaceable, so you can swop them out to run either geared or SS. A nice concept.

The first option is the only 'higher end' option of your list... IMO...

Thanks bud.

No, I don't use half-link chains and I never spend more than R120 on a chain. Ever.

But I do have a XTR M960 crank that's going to get the Jeff Jones treatment and be installed soon. That'll bling her up nicely....

Good logic .... I do confess that I did however fall victim to my "inner pimp" by buying a blue chain for my inbred .... a really common weakness among cyclist's I might add. So next time I might just get a cheapie or a green chain

Fair enough, and @R195, not too bad.

After I have ridden through the 2 chains that I have, I might pimp per chain.

Can't wait for Trailseeker at Van Gaalens on the SS.

Works well. Have the blue one on mine.
