Nice

How much friction do you get with that setup ... can it be "felt" at all?

If you spin your cranks backwards does it spin freely?

sorry for the questions, but this system really intrigues me!

That is really neat Flippie! I really like the 'proper' SS frame with no tensioners etc.

Thanks! It was a real nice ride. Had a 32x20t setup. Will change that to 32x18t for the next ride.

Be interesting to see the comments on the half link chain. I'm running mine the same direction, but it's backwards. In theory, should make no difference, or am I wrong?

Nice bike BTW, like the way the tensioner is done.

I also have mine the 'wrong' way round on my fixie but I don't ride it enough to worry about it .....

I had mine that way round and kept breaking links (broke 4 outside links in about 300km) Thought it was a problem with my cogs or chain alignment but a google search showed i had the chain on backwards. Looked right that way round but have switched the chain around and 500km no issues.

Thanks for pointing out that the chain is in wrong I had no idea. The tensioner is my own creation pulley and all. I was told it would be noisy but so far its quite and no drag at all. I could not get a tensioner to work at the back not enough space on the momsen to go up and going down I could not get enough chain wrap on the rear cog with certain ratio's. Loving it

Evidently I'm not strong enough, have not yet broken mine. Going to bin it soon though, I'm still convinced that it stretches, so going to replace it with an ordinary track chain.

Funny thing is it wasn't under huge strain that it broke links it was mostly when accelerating to catch gearies

But yeh they do stretch quite a bit in the beginning. Had mine stretch from new, so much on a 80km ride in bela bela that I took out 2 links and didn't have to move my setup.
