Speed Devil Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 If I trained hard for a race and had to travel 100km to get there and discover that I forgot my shoes at home I would definitely borrow a pair of shoes if it was offered.I would then rush home after the race, stop at the chemist and get some lamisil and foot powder and then straight into a bath. Some things are are just worth the risk.

nellie Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 Nah...i'm more than fine with buying second hand shoes - my first pair of road shoes were second hand (although they only did 160 odd kms) and i also recently bought a pair of well used mtb shoes as i'm just getting into the mtb thing and didn't have money to spend on shoes. I'm more than sattisfied - it doesn't bother me in the least. In my life i've only bought one pair of new cycling shoes...
