BikesZA Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 why is a cycling license's more than any other license's my car license is only like R300 pahockey license R250 pasquash R325 pa i know i can make a list of things R400+ to race a bicycle ,and my license still get emailed to me , no more cards.This is a joke.

CScriba Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 its probably just a temporary license that was emailed, while your actual physical card is being sent to you...just so that you can enter races etc while you wait for the card.... on the other hand, maby they have really cracked into patheticness now...time will tell

pezulu Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 We were able to download the licence from the CSA website.They have emailed a copy to us.We received another email today asking to confirm our postal address, as they are posting the licence card to us as well. All in all I think it is a better method than in the past, where everything was sent to your club, and you had to ask them for your licence.

What do they need to verify / check? Then only CSA will approve the application? Whats with all the checking?

You for got to add your club membership fee! The process of applying is really great but R425 is a killer...

Firstly I renewed my Roag membership and then went to the CSA site and took out CSA membership and provincial affiliation. This was all yesterday (17/01). I quickly got a mail saying that they will now contact the club to see if do belong to them. At about 3pm I got confirmation that the club is okay and now they are checking with the province. Why do they need to check that if they are the ones that took the money for that?. So early this morning I got confirmation that all okay with the privince and now they will check with CSA. WTFrikkadel! They are CSA and they started the whole process, what is there to check. So about 10 minutes ago I got my welcoming letter and membership card. So in about 24 hours everything was sorted. Alot easier then last year.
