If Dischem R4S is now a seeding race, then this is only provisional - right?

Hope this is not a hijack, but how do you feel about your form/fitness, versus the group you're in, ready, undertrained? Just want to make sure I'm not the only one who is not feeling 100% ready.

Starting in D

But I won't be there, dagnabbit! :cursing:

But it's not all doom and gloom - I'll be preparing to head to Philip Island to drive a 1947 MG TC single seater special in a historic motorsport weekend...a week before the Aussie F1 GP. (Where I won't be competing.)

That sounds great, perhaps I should bring my dad's original 1954 MG TF and join you.....

I'm starting in M group since I haven't ridden a road race in over 12 years and my seeding was obtained solely by riding MTB events. Start time is 07:04am.

Group C for me.

Splat lets cause some Sh*t In C bro. Im thinking sit in front and go for broke on every climb, go with every break and never ease up.

Thats about what I did last year. I ended up being so stuffed that Suikerbossie was actually hard for once.

Man I still want that sub 3.. this is the year.. I heard the Wind isnt going to blow this year....

I know how you feel. The last 6 months I've been working flat-out and did the Renosterveld, Desert Dash and Attakwas. I can feel I'm tired and gatvol and not always in the mood to ride. I keep going, but that all. I don't think I'm improving at this stage. I'll stick to the bunch as long as I can but on a MTB it is just a matter of time before I join the bunch behind me  .

Maybe I'll spot you at the starting line.

The fact that you can keep up at all on a mountain bike gets huge respect. I tried it last year and spent most of the time desperately searching for a faster roadie's wheel on all the downwind bits. And only just scraped 4 hours. So if you are in D...

I am starting in G, but been injured, so did almost no riding since Die Burger.

Will be taking it VERY easy and making up for all the Coke etc which I did not drink at the water point in previous years :D

If The Hub J group comes past at decent slow pace, I might join them for a while...
