Barloworld has signed Bianchi to replace Cannondale as its new bike sponsor. The Claudio Corti-managed team will be riding Bianchi's 928 Carbon SL and new custom Carbon T-Cube machines next season.

"Barloworld has a long term strategy to build a successful team based upon a close relationship with its technical sponsor and we look forward to many years of cooperation," said Bob Ippolito, Bianchi's CEO.

 

Build a relationship!!!  How do you do that if you change bike brands every year!!!!

 

I think there first year they rode Looks, then Carrera's to De Rosa then dale's and now Bianchi. What next .....Raleigh???

I thought trek was something that happened years ago when those agricultural types in the cape got gatvol of the local government and relocated to the far, far northern suburbs.

I think it is important to keep a bike brand......and yes....Barloworld is currently like the preverbial "bike whores"

Look, De Rosa, Cannondale, Bianchi, Carrera.  That is NOT how you build loyalty towards a brand.....

Discovery = Trek
Liquigas = Cannondale

Quick Step = Spesialized

French teams = Look

 

That's how you build up a relasionship.......
