  1. I've always used free bottles. Function over form. My belief was that if I drop it my only stress will be loss of hydration rather than loss of pricey bottle. But in over 20 years of riding I am yet to drop a bottle. Go figure. Anyway I was not of any help, so carry on.
  2. My results came back negative. But I’ll be doing zone 2 rides for a little longer just in case.
  3. Finally got results. Came back negative.
  4. So I tested positive on a rapid covid test, but after phoning my doc he advised that a lot of those come back positive but when you go to a lab its actually negative. So I went to a lab and got tested. Still waiting for my results. Up until this morning I was not to concerned, based on my HRV measurements every morning my body was normal, but this morning HRV was below normal values and HR was about 10 BPM higher, my body is not happy with something. It could be COVID, it could just be the stress of waiting for the results, I feel fine, only have a slight nasal drip which is perfectly inline with what I was expecting after my weekend activities.
  5. at a previous company we used to use a company called Paint Bull, they have a mobile unit that will come to you. But I suspect it also depends on where in Gauteng you are. Unfortunately I don't have their contact details anymore.
  6. just did a zone 2 cruise on the IDT yesterday. Don't want to push things just yet. Went for a Rapid COVID test yesterday and came back positive, so decided to go and get a lab test done to be sure, so don't really want to push things until I have the results. I don't have any symptoms, but 4 or 5 people that I work with tested positive, hence the test.
  7. but then you have to be on yet another forum and again learn who to trust and who to ignore, I already spend way to much time on this forum, I dont want another one.
  8. I'd almost call it a moral obligation to keep it due to the very informative information in it.
  9. seems to be back to normal now. perhaps a glitch in the matrix edit @Nick Its working on threads I've visited today, but anything from before today it seems to revert to another spot in the thread. I'm starting to think its cookie related as those are threads I last visited from my phone or laptop at home.
  10. I assume its the home page for forums I then middle click with mouse on subject (same as control clicking) to open in new window content behavior settings. I've put it back to unread to see if it perhaps resets itself
  11. @Matt @Nick Clicking on a topic no longer takes me to the last unread post like it did before you culled the off topic stuff edit Never mind, the problem appears to have been a setting change for the content behavior, I'd just changed it back to latest comment.
  12. my guess would be yes, but the average weekend warrior probably cant comfortably hold the "most efficient power" setup for to long and thus "optimal comfort" would trump it on long rides.
  13. but one of those thread, whilst it was heated at certain points was mostly very informative
  14. I'm hating on all motorbikes, purely because the stereotypical boksburger has the loudest pipe possible on whatever bike he has and takes great joy in revving the pistons off of it at every chance he gets.
  15. Introduced my 11 year old to Friends. We're part way through season 1. Man you dont realise how long ago the show was on until you see how young everyone was.
  16. not enough likes can be given
  17. A week or 2 back I watched a youtube clip from a bike fitter where he mentioned that most upper back pain (neck and shoulders) comes from putting to much weight on your hands. And most of the time this is not cockpit related but rather saddle position related. Obviously if your cockpit is way out it will cause issues, but he recommended starting at the back, get the saddle height and fore/aft correct first. My advise, get a bike fit done. Its cheaper than experimenting with new bars and stems etc.
  18. First Sonoff failure this morning. I did a firmware update on the soniff for the geyser, probably Friday. Yesterday I felt the geyser water was extra hot but thought nothing of it. This morning lying in bed we hear the sound of water, look outside the bathroom window and water is gushing from the geyser pipes. jump on eWeLink to turn power off to the geyser and that’s when I notice the water is at 86 deg. Turns out it lost its parameters with the firmware update. thankfully the pressure relief valves on the geyser did their job, by the time I got into the roof to investigate the pressure had sorted itself out and everything was working again.
  19. As Frosty said, the weather reminded us it’s not spring yet. Sun did not come out until after 9 this morning. If you zoom in on the first pic you can see the sun as a small red ball.
  20. but does it have QR skewer or Through Axle ?
  21. if the lighter wheels will get you riding more which will intern make you fitter and leaner then yes they will help you climb faster.
  22. I've been looking at what is available in the general area. Some great road rides, but plenty of trails too. Really hoping that with the move in work and house I have a budget for a slightly more modern MTB than my 1999 26"er Giant. I'd love to get my wife and daughters out on the trails regularly.
  23. comparing YoY for anything right now is silly. I keep seeing YoY comparisons to sales in the car industry and I shake my head.
  24. hell no, not 702. When I was on the road alot a few years back I decided that I should listen to 702 in order to keep up with current affairs. No thanks, to many shows dictated by the hosts bias on the subject. To many extremists given the airtime they shouldnt. It's like the radio version of Twitter.
  25. time frame and location are all down to when and where I find work. Location wise we are rather keen on Somerset West / Strand area. Schooling wise (now and in the future) it seems to offer the better options, house size for money wise it also appears to offer better value in our budget. I was hoping to be down there already, but I've taken a step back to find some direction workwise, so hopefully before year end we'll be down there.
