  1. I'd also weigh alot less whilst leaving a slippery trail in my path. bananas and my gut have a love hate relationship, they love to hate each other.
  2. eggzakery. summer days means you can get our earlier, do a nice long ride, and then still have plenty hours left to spend with fmaily.
  3. first time in a long time that I've taken leave over that period and have no plans (yet) to go anywhere. Right now the only day that is a no no for riding is 25th. But I'm sure my wife will find someway of messing with my plan.
  4. The other side of the coin is people looking for ridiculous discounts on products because its black friday. Honda is offering a 80k discount on the outgoing CRV. Thats around 10.5% off, which is substantial in these times and doesnt leave much wiggle room left for the dealer. This is not a BF only special. But we still get people asking "is that all you'all are offering". Telling us they were hoping for more.
  5. oh and whilst not 2024, I thinking of attempting the Rapha 500 this year.
  6. ok technically fuel then. Some 32gi Race and some fast bars.
  7. ok makes sense. In this country though I would not trust counting white lines, my bet is that they dont really stick to a uniform length and distance apart.
  8. I just picked up nutrition for the next couple of months from CycleLab. With their MyCycleLife vouchers I basically paid 50% less.
  9. yep, did it this year. I joined the slowest group, 26km/h avg, I think it was the right choice as the pace was very relaxed. Actually way to relaxed sometimes, but given the distance and how I felt near the end it was the right choice. But at that speed its a loooong day in the saddle, 7h40 riding time, 9 hours total time. The body was sore after. It also gets HOT out there, my Garmin recorded a max temp of 40deg. But I like the challenge, will be better prepared on what to expect next time.
  10. It all depends on finances. The 2 that WILL be done are CTCT and 947 2 that I would like to do given finances would be Ride for Sight in Feb and either Kremetart or Parys outride in September.
  11. I'm totally lost. With out instruments, how do you pace yourself ?
  12. yeah look if its wet I also wont be in a bunch doing 60 down the M1. I'll rather just take it easy, have a safe enjoyable ride.
  13. Rain prediction has moved on
  14. Sounds awesome. I need to get to Greece with my bike next time, there are some great cycling roads in northern Greece. we once drove katara pass during a snow blizzard, took us forever as visibility was really bad.
  15. The booking time slots waas for covid protocols to try and keep the numbers under control at the expo
  16. would love to know how you got there by bike. Katara pass is one hell of a mountain road.
  17. there are a lot of mistakes with their admin
  18. you're using the wrong tyres and/or not being careful enough. but,.............. if tubes are working for you then carry on. Use what works for you and what makes you ride more.
  19. arent you worried about the water-proof-ness ?
  20. its bordering on being to much, but you know what, when you're on the side of the road fixing a mechanical its give some peace of mind. Over the years you'll fine tune it, dont worry.
  21. What’s battery life like now? and what glue did you use to glue the screen back in?
  22. MOTHER TRUCKER !!!!! I turned my ride around at BRB on Sunday instead of going all the way out to ICC, decided to rather play it safe as it seems that these attacks were happening between Midstream and ICC. By now SAPS know very well that this gang is operating in that area.
  23. it might be the above incident which happened further away and information has just been mixed up as it gets passed along.
